Thread: How to move UBUNTU from WUBI to the main partition?

hi guys,

i don't post here, start now, seeing how appreciate seeing replies others. apologize if bothers anyone.

question is:

how move data wubi, , put on ubuntu os on laptop?

right have windows 7 wubi installed. , want replace ubuntu, without using wubi or making partitions. 1 os (ubuntu), has same files/data (i have backed list of installed packages , data files) wubi 1 now.

laptop came windows 7, don't need anymore. if do, can use virtualbox.

what's easiest or simplest or fastest or safest way this?

ram: 2.7gb  processor: amd v120  mem: 250gb  model: acer aspire 5251-1940

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
