Thread: Laptop getting stuck booting

i upgraded 10.04 11.04 , planning on updating again 11.10 before did wanted see if wireless worked. sta drivers in additional drivers section , worked found nvidia drivers there. installed them , rebooted when logged in, driver said installed not in use. logged out , going log in again see if fixed problem when tried logout computer got stuck. turned off computer , rebooted , gets stuck saying stopping bootsplash or something. can please tell me going on?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
