hi

have set-up software raid 1 server system:

md1 : active raid1 sda5[0] sdb5[1]
522228 blocks super 1.2 [2/2] [uu]

md0 : active raid1 sda1[0] sdb1[1]
33028024 blocks super 1.2 [2/2] [uu]

unused devices: <none>

seems work fine, when test system recovery pulling power cable of 1 of 2 mirrored disks (while system off) ubuntu subsequently fails boot , system endlessly restarts after grub loading timer has expired :s

iv spend while google'ing have come nothing useful :s has got ideas?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
