Thread: Ubuntu 10.10 doesn't recognise touch screen or Wifi

good morning everyone. absolute beginner need help.
started off 2 tablet pc's, both running windows 7 home premium.
wanted learn linux , of course looked through various comments , installed 10.10 direct on 1 of machines, destroying windows 7. (that's best way go right?) in @ deep end.
wifi machines, no cable connection.
ubuntu not recognise touch screens, nor see wifi. did usual lspci , there's nothing wifi or touchscreen.
tried lsusb maybe touchscreen , or wifi usb device, still no avail.
whilst think ubuntu screen quite different , refreshing, sad fact can access apps, when comes system tests, not pick screen or wifi, cannot use bluetooth keyboard. pick usm mouse , keyboard.
without wifi access, cannot online except through other tablet.
there way can totally remove ubuntu , maybe start again, or there can solve irritating problem.
, feel of linux have seen, no expert of guys out there. want use it, until running right, feel have screwed tablet.
