Thread: "Places" widget in Kubuntu 11.10?

hello, i'm looking way put places menu gnome 2 on kubuntu. think refered "applications - places - system" menu application launcher menu serves of these functions. i'm looking replicate "places" menu specifically, quick links different parts of file system, along recent documents, search, etc.

ideas?

i'm trying out "folder view" widget, gives me @ least easy way dolphin (the file browser). within dolphin, there "places" panel editable , quite nice. neat if there way put widget on taskbar linking directly places list, , file search , recent documents list...

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
