how to make a use as logged in user?

could please me out , how make user logged in user website.

 

i have requirement user clicks link consider him logged in user , allow him browse website.

the link contains user id, need username , make him logged in user.

 

can user password crx , decrypt , pass simple credentials possible.

or sso authenticaiton handler can use in case.

 

please me on this.

this seems bad idea - if user acidentally sent link else? if want implement reset password user flow, take @ how done geometrixx.

 

crx (and jackrabbit) not store passwords. store hash. cannot retreive password out of crx, change it.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
