Photoshop CS6 extended creates 65,000+ tmp files

can tmp file problem?  after last update photoshop cs6 extended, 65,000+ .tmp files (all 0k size) each time save jpg or targa file.  doesn't matter if save local drive or network drive.  takes 20 minutes save finish.  takes 15-20 minutes delete of them.  images 1.5-2mb files.

 

system running windows 7 64bit pro 4gb of ram.  local disk 500 gb 7200 speed 45% free.  servers both dell poweredge 2 separate raid 5 each server 4 1tb 7200 speed drives per raid.  servers have 2 intel zeon processors , dual gigabit network cards.

monitor file i/o tools sysinternals' system monitor , check what's causing problem. mundane permissions problem temporary folders or otehr resource problem.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
