Problem with latest Photoshop Update

a friend on windows 7 updated photoshop cs6 last night. had updated raw 7.4 no problems. when updated main photoshop program discovered in bridge no longer bulk highlight of images. in other words, let's have bridge open number of images , wish highlight 10 of them. highlight first, click on shift, highlight last. or, hit first, click control , hit whichever nonsequential images wish highlight.  after update, no longer able this. single image highlighted @ time, regardless of whether clicked shift or control. said, on windows , version 7. occured after update. did restore date few days (losing work had done update) , problem went away. has else encountered problem?      

 

i not 1 subscribe conspiracy theories, please. believe computer programs extremely complex. believe updates bring own bugs in past have needed complex fixing.  believe adobe plans push cloud subscriptions. , believe adobe not putting effort these fixes while pouring efforts cloud. said, has else encountered problem? if so, major , needs attention.

which version of photoshop cs6 update: 13.01.1 perpetual lincense or the cloud 13.1.2?

 

did other available updates applied well, besides the 1 photoshop cs6 itself?

 

if it's windows 7 64 bit system, not work in both 32 , 64 bit versions of bridge cs6?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
