why making difficult when there's x-swat ppa.
- open terminal
- type following command: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates
- press enter , if required, type password
- type command: sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
let install latest stable upstream x.org components
