Thread: Database browser/viewer for Progress database?

i've come across files on our sco system extensions .db , .db1. understand "db1" files (or mainly) used "progress" database. http://www.progress.com/en/index.html

smaller database files load in gedit. see see data makes sense me in there, though wrapped in lot of \00\00\00\00\00\00\00\00\00\00 , larger files cause gedit hang.

sqlite browser won't open them.

can recommend way me view these files correctly in ubuntu? perhaps i'm missing libs or something?

do have valid progress license file installed?

don't know ubuntu, can try installing odbc driver in windows , @ data access or excel.

did quick google search see if there native linux client wasn't successful. perhaps progress can help? if have license, you've paid support.
