Thread: GRUB "error: no such partition"

so installed ubuntu while ago alongside windows in dual boot didn't never used it. needed space because computer filling , there 160gb of free space on linux boot. used windows partition program delete 2 partitions linux had , clear them , took 2 hours. when boot computer that.

searched problem , lots of people fixed trying use linux: i'm trying rid of linux , start using windows again. know how this? did wrong have no idea or how fix it. when googled error got linux pages that's why i'm posting here.

cd drive doesn't work @ all. have 2 usb drives , 1tb hard drive can connect in case have download something. want windows because data there emptied on linux already..

ok downloaded windows 7 recovery disc torrent , have usb how make bootable? :/

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
