Thread: Installing - which HD is which?

my pc has twin 500gb sata disks in raid1 array running win7 plus single disk of same type, not part of raid. want install ubuntu only) on third hd. on startup select whether boot windows or ubuntu (i.e. treat these 2 different computers).
during install presented screen follows ([] green , orange squares, respectively):
installation type

[] mapper/isw_bcbjjgejje_volume0p1 (ntfs) [] mapper/isw_bcbjjgejje_volume0p2 (ntfs)
104.9mb 500.0mb

device
/dev/mapper/isw_bcbjjgejje_volume0

/dev/mapper/isw_bcbjjgejje_volume0 linux device-mapper (mirror) (500.1gb)
dev/mapper/isw_bcbjjgejje_volume0p1 windows 7 (loader)
dev/mapper/isw_bcbjjgejje_volume0p2
/dev/sdc ata st3500320ns (500.1gb)
/dev/sdc1
/dev/sda

[quit] [back] [install now]

guess first /dev line drive selected default , can scroll select 1 want following list, , that /dev/sdc.
can please tell me if i'm right, or, if not, need do. prefer not unplug raid disks , start again.

wait wait wait, isn't raid 1 mirroring? how can choose partition install disk if drives mirror each other? wasn't aware possible 'choose' partition install when mirroring drives. in case wouldn't raid, it'd master 1 slave 1 slave 2 etc. each disk possible boot choice bios. sorry wouldn't know how perform asking.
