Thread: Software Center Won't Open

on ubuntu 11.10, click software center on dock , icon starts blink, program won't open. know how fix this?

open terminal , enter:

sudo apt-get update

, try software center again.

if still not work; in terminal enter:

software-center

, post errors

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
