Trying to install updated Flash Player but after installing 51% message pops up saying quit Safari,

i downloaded , clicked dmg install latest update.  got 51% complete , stopped instructing me close safari.  sarfari closed , not running.  hit retry , got same message.  tried reboot , install still got same message.  don't understand why says close when closed?

it's still running somewhere in background.  if on mac, use activity monitor close running applications.  on windows use task manager.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
