Captivate 3 and Variables

okay, first let me i'm of novice captivate , yes, i'm asking captivate 3. why? because haven't figured out how make newer versions play nicely our lms , problem beyond experience.  

 

so, said, can add variables in captivate 3? if so, how?

i've looked advanced actions, has advanced interactions , life of me can't figure out how it. i've gone through lilybiri blogs (great info) seems around newer versions.

 

note: i'm pushing newer version. however, until have work tools have.

 

can me?

sorry, no variables, nor advanced actions in cp3. first time appeared in cp4, 'not nice' interface

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
