How can I apply a timestretch to different null objects and then use them to parent layers?

i using several hundred stills held on screen different lengths of time. there way create null objects various timestretch values , use them parent stills?

i'm trying find equivalent 'paste attributes' function in final cut pro.

i'm not sure trying accomplish parenting null still won't change length of still. that's not how parenting works. parenting mimics transform properties of layer , that's all.

 

are trying automatically adjust in , out points of stills? trying sequence them? i'm not sure trying do.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
