How do I make a shop page on my Muse website

hey bc people,

 

i have built website muse , have got client sign bc account suits needs. wanting insert shop page on adobe muse built website. read drop module (created in bc) onto page , work. built inventory , placed module code can't display content on page. in shop http://luckwoodshop.businesscatalyst.com/luckwood-range

 

here website http://luckwoodshop.businesscatalyst.com/index.html i'd have 'store' page display items, rather link them via button. there easier way build templates?

 

is there better way this? should export site dw , try , there?

 

i'd rather not use bc template , want shop module. possible?

 

any or support appreciated.

i don't use muse hear it's starting point once publish muse site bc edits make on bc server won't sync muse , vice versa.  so-- once you've moved site on muse bc should start using bc/dreamweaver make future changes site.

 

to end-- since on bc , want take advantage of advanced features not in muse (ie- online shop) you'll need start using bc methods using sitewide templates.

 

if don't have 1 already, should create default page template... basically, take 1 of pages created in muse , copy page source , create new template on bc , paste in code.  anywhere have main page content, remove source , replace {tag_pagecontent} page content shop products , catalogs appear.  then, make site-wide template default template , have shop use template , should set.

 

on side note-- should optimize background image website.  right you've got 3mb file background image in link index.html above.  lot of people on tablets nowadays using 3g , having them download file size of full mp3 song see image isn't necessary site function-- it's experience layer need make smaller.  1 thing-- if image has lot of gradients or colors (like yours does-- has many gradients) and/or going high resolution image (like yours) should using jpg instead of png.  jpg gives more compression options-- try compressing image 65-70 compression should image down size in bits/bytes.

 

your whole site 4.5 kilobytes , 3 kilobytes of 1 image background should optimize it/update jpg.
