How to uninstall Illustrator CS5 - no uninstaller found
i installed illustrator (and photoshop extended) cs5 on mac under os10.8.2. applications not working (error: 6 when try open them). therefore, uninstall before trying new installation. unfortunately, uninstall alias in 2 directories empty , not have /applications/utilities/adobe installers/ suggested on page (http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/uninstall-creative-suite-cs5-cs5.html#main_uninst all_creative_suite_5_or_cs5_5__mac_os_).
in meantime, tried cleaner. followed instructions readme:
1. download adobe creative suite cleaner tool macintosh.
2. double-click mount adobecreativesuitecleanertool.dmg file. mounted in name of "adobe creative suite cleaner tool".
3. double click adobe creative suite cleaner tool , follow prompts:
note: enter administrator password when prompted.
• review adobe end-user license agreement , click accept or decline. declining exit adobe creative suite cleaner tool.
• on top right corner there drop down menu select version of creative suite or creative cloud. e.g. select cs5-cs5.5 or cs6 in drop down list installed adobe creative suite 5 adobe creative suite cs6 products.
• select entry of product in table , click cleanup continue.
note: in case have selected desired version of creative suite drop down menu , list blank, “clean all” button can clicked (if enabled) clean products , installer related files particular version of creative suite.
however, accordingly cleaner, there nothing cleaned - however, have folders in applications (> 700 mb illustrator folder) - problem ? in case, should delete folders or try restart installation while hoping might go through ?
any idea ?

if no uninstaller found, there's nothing do. cleaner tools doies free installer session files allow them overwritten. no session files, no problem. try install again, make sure proper privileges. error 6 means there access problems files , not running full privileges common cause. may need this:
enabling , using "root" user in mac os x
