Illustrator not responding

i working on mac in osx version 10.6.8, illustrator cs5 has been working fine on year, 'not responding' file try open?

 

i have tried reintalling file temporarly fixes problem before long fails open again.

 

please advise.

have installed plugins recently? fonts? enhancements os?

is printer connected? driver date?

have tried re-creating preferences?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
