Problems with saving in InDesign

why indesign didn't save file? , how locate recovery file if there any?

more details might (including os version, indesign version), not -- indesign has pretty recovery mechanism, , if didn't pop saved copy of document when restarted indesign, chances you're not going to  find recovery file hand, either.

 

what happened? did indesign crash? had ever saved?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
