as long time adobe user cc scares me...

 

i live in country without decent internet....

 

 

adobe has demonstrated in australia pricing can go , down sees fit ...always detriment of customers

 

a lot of world still in economical downturn ...$600 per year not saving...it considerable increase many

 

$600 per year move $1000.... (i have noticed in country can team version???)

 

once adobe determines programs popular additional cost tier introduced pay product

 

 

once move on subscription based service addicted... if give subscription can no longer edit projects ....if own version ...you can go project without activation issues...

 

as not providing updates , bug fixes unconscionable

 

adobes thinking here of monopoly.... start forcing independent free lancer elsewhere ... encourage pirating..... , in places internet not assured guarantee creative discrimination.. non profits , groups fighting political oppression subscription based services limit there freedom of speech.... if cant connect internet ..how can produce content?

 

adobe please think hard this

although not afraid of change - find major failure on adobe's thinking.

 

i read article talk how revenue stand alone products has dropped in relation subscription model past year on year quarters (meaning subscription revenue increasing).  loaded statistic.  seeing how subscription models in long run costs more outright purchasing copy of creative suite 1 version next.

 

additionally not want ever store project files or master files on 3rd party hosted servers. because of lame terms of service - adobe owns rights copy of upload can used adobe's discretion , whims without due compensation file owners (and give adobe permission in terms accepting use of "service product").

 

adobe getting more , more lazy.

 

if have large project takes several weeks or months - not ever change software versions during timeframe.  things color rendering or functionality change 1 version next.  new approach (very similarto how google handles product - hate) makes sweeping changes , screws end user on without time adapt or finish current project.  load of bulls*** @ finest.  google has regularly pushed out features , updates gmail , docs (among other services) have broken or radically changed , altered how things done.  in negative directions worse end-user.

 

i moving away photoshop , illustrator , dreamweaver , flash in future.  adobe no longer money or of employers when asked purchase software.  used advocate until use of flash many more things t5he general public gripes - banner ads - pop ups - video - , gaming - , flash has many more uses - education , learning - tutorials - control level interfaces - application development.  no longer speak favorably flash.  migrate on newer open technologies - more uninstall flash plugins or products.  , again - migrate away form adobe as , soons possible.

 

i using alternatives both dreamweaver , photoshop - have not longest time due superiority products compared anyt rival software products available.  can without 2 products if have to.  said future money spent not given adobe's online failure of products.

 

as being graphic designer need indesign use - hate quark enough not jump using - - may migrate away publishing period - thank adobe.

 

video editing - horrible new version of final cut pro - apple seems cater watered down general purpose users lately instead of professionals need functional tools - migrate using - not subscribe future web-based offerings.

 

full production cater - not viable web browser interface.  should not have push content through adobe's servers in order develop project client. touches on comments above - adobe has no right of content or of clients.   unacceptable.

 

if go route - you've lost 20+ year customer.  , hope others follow suit , boycott hell out of company , products.  hope revenue drops rock - people wise , stop bending on sweeping corporate decisions make no sense - , either change new found approach or go bankrupt beacuse executives made decsions heads buried deep in someone's...in sand.

 

so thank making bulk of software industry i've worked in past 20 years monopoly , in 1 sweep shutting whole thing down , charging more inferior product.
