Thread: disappearing side bar

hey guys, have got new monitor plug netbook running ubuntu 11.10 , , have found after doing in full screen, side bar (i think it's called unity, correct me if i'm wrong.) disappear. accommodate both screens in highest resolution, (netbook=1024x768 new monitor=13??x768 had switch 'ubuntu 2d' @ login screen. appreciated, please let me know if have provide more information.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
