Thread: Google Redirect Virus or not?

i'm running latest version of xubuntu on netbook , hour ago clicked on link on google (after searching) , redirected me viagrow.net (or .com, can't remember because closed quickly). around time, browser hanging , not moving around internet well. (i disconnect , connect again, work second , slow again.) should noted i'm in hotel in europe right now. i've tried site , others on , on , i've not had redirect since then. has seemed fine otherwise , hasn't been going slow.

think have virus or trojan? need comfort right because need use computer lot while i'm on here.

this happened once? if have nothing worry (if there problem wouldn't virus or trojan must browser hijack). using firefox? i'd clear caches (including java , flash cache) , delete cookies/internet temp files. might want addon noscript

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
