i know question may have been asked before have found answers 3-4 years old. isnt nessisarily ubuntu or linux question hard ware question.

possible turn hdmi output input/output gaming console or have you. know capture card option crap lug around if want keep portable. machines plan use eaither dell studio 1737 4 gig dual pentium 64 bit ubuntu 11.10, or toshiba salellite l775d-s722 amd quad core 6 bgig ram win 7 64 bit.

the hdmi port can used output port not input port in laptop. dell system have xps l401x gt425m graphics card has mini dvi port & hdimi not able work unfortunately projector or tv.

tried install & successful installing not able switch or clone screen other device.

using 11.10 3.0.14-generic kernel nvidia 280 version driver support

idea?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
