Thread: the home is formatted

found after installing ubuntu 10.04.2 , impich2 home 80 gb unmounted mounted using storage manager, home formatted, question can reinstall files exist in home without reinstalling ubuntu , impich2 again.

i not sure understand question, sounds if have separate /home partition did not set /home mountpoint partition when installed ubuntu.

if situation need edit /etc/fstab make sure partition mounts @ /home every time boot machine.

can therefore show output of command
code:
cat /etc/fstab
in terminal , copy here.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
