Thread: Kubuntu 11.10 Intel Graphic Card does not detect external monitor resolution on 11.10

i have same issue on 2 laptop computers intel graphic chip sets.

1st laptop - intel gma 4500

laptop display resolution fine external monitor not go higher 1024x768. on windows computer manages 1366x768 same monitor.

2nd laptop - intel gma 950

laptop display resolution fine external monitor not go higher 1024x768. on windows computer manages 1280x768 same monitor.

external display connected vga.

same issue used occur 11.04 worked in ubuntu before (i think 9.10 or 10.04).
