Thread: Mixvibes U-Mix 44 .asoundrc configuration

hey all, got mixvibes u-mix 44 usb sound card use mixxx. detected in kubuntu, playback not work well. first thought hardware/ mixxx compatibility problem, posted on mixxx forums (http://mixxx.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3182). however, apparently software issue.

need set .asoundrc file card, , have no idea how it, after few hours of research. there 4 channels on card, channel 1, 3, , 4 general output, , channel 2 monitor/ cueing.

i'm pretty sure need combine different channels 2 different virtual cards (http://alsa.opensrc.org/.asoundrc#jo...e_multichannel), couldn't figure out syntax work.

ideal end result 2 virtual cards: 1 master output channels 1, 3, , 4, , 1 cueing channel 2.

chance give me pointers on how set up? thanks!

no idea did differently post in mixxx forums, works without .asoundrc config.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
