Thread: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and Java

i couple of weeks ago following 10.04 lts update java(sun-java6-plugin) in firefox (and google chrome)stopped working. reinstalled 10.04 , same thing happened following substantial update. there feature should not updated?

the sun java 6 no more (sun have dropped it). install openjdk if want java, that's 1 sun moving anyway.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
