helloes,

i'm trying ubuntu on mac machine.

sinca osx lion changed bootcamp support windows, tried using refit bootloader , gparted live cd create ext3 partition ubuntu.

problem when try boot live cd, after 5 minutes of progress prompted message "(initramfs) unable find medium containing live file system".

ideas ?

you can make install dvd lion , use re-partition hard drive leave space ubuntu installation. how done can found on net , depends on whether you've downloaded lion or not. once have space install in, it's matter of booting install disc. given choice, recommend alternate install or mac install.

1 last things is possible use hfs /home partition can't until after you've finished installation. that, make partition home don't use until you've booted first time. can format hfs+.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
