Flash not working in internet explorer 10 or Firefox.

hi im going insane right because can view document using internet explorer wont allow me view chrome, problem internet explorer bunch of blank pictures missing links , nothing works. realized inanimate nature of ie flash not working. frustrating part flash player 11.7 installed on computer! works fine in google chrome, firefox give me error need download adobe flash view videos, internet explorer says nothing blank thumbnails or still pictures or black video. moment ignore firefox need internet explorer. have tried listed on these forums no success. active x filtering disabled, hardwell accelaration off, in manage addons says shockwave player (adobe flash player 11.7.700.179 installed correctly , enabled) java date , enabled. thing when go control panel , search flash, says active x version:  11.7.700.179 installed, plugin version says not installed. have done full uninstall of flash , cleaned out registry , did full reinstall , followed advice on adobes website , no matter how many times reinstall flash doesn't work. please driving me insane!

what windows version?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
