Photoshop elements 11 won't start up

hi,

whenever open photoshop elements 11 loads up, shows organizer screen breifly closes out , gives me message saying must files.  can click cancel, don't show me message again or click start backup.  backup run, both options not stop message showing next time try running program.  also, window program not reappear after message shown.  have force close program through task manager or restart computer program open again-except gives message , cycle begins again.  click not show message again, pops next time open program.  1 have ideas on how fix this? 

from organizer menu choose:

 

edit >> preferences >> files

 

uncheck box: automatically prompt backup files & catalog

 

then click ok

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
