Thread: Can't get the 360 VGA working on Laptop - help!

i'm using ubuntu 10.04 , i'm trying play xbox's audio through laptop (sort of sound server). i've done before (not laptop) on windows xp using dell optiplex gx520 pc.

when plug special vga cable xbox laptop's microphone jack don't hear xbox sound through laptop's speakers! don't know lot abour alsa ran alsamixer , turned audio boost, yet no result!

sound card is: intel corporation 82801i (ich9 family) hd audio controller (rev 03)

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
