Thread: Failed wubi xubuntu install

i'm trying install xubuntu wubi. memory fuzzy went this:

after rebooting first time after running wubi exe, got glitched out screen when tried use xubuntu (this occured after blue xubuntu loading screen bar goes , forth).

force shutdown computer , restarted again; time ran in safe graphics mode. avoided glitched out screen time when have white text scrolling across black screen stuck @ part says "checking battery" or that.

pressed ctrl alt f1 , logged console , don't know did typed in commands sudo apt-get install gdm, sudo apt-get install update (didn't recognize update), sudo apt-get install upgrade( don't think recognized either typed in other stuff upgrade in it, maybe sudo apt-get update or something).

anyways, @ point goes blue xubuntu loading screen, loads little bit (the little bar goes , forth until freezes).

should uninstall , try reinstalling? idk why isn't working...

first off, commands bit off. should go this:

sudo dpkg --configure -a
sudo apt-get install -f

above commands attempt fix broken packages.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

when run update, take note of errors. if someway offers partial upgrade, not it. partial add problems.

not use wubi, sounds need install right video driver.

did try xubuntu before installing? kind of computer have?
