Thread: How do I install drivers on Ubuntu

i have installed ubuntu on pc , tryin access internet. built in wireless card hasnt been working quite time now. bought usb wifi thing. on installation cd have linux drivers it, problem dont know how install them. please help.

the easiest way may plug usb device machine, open terminal , type in
code:
lsusb
and provide output here review (paste here). command lsusb in lowercase , lists usb devices. chipset important determine driver needs , may not need driver on cd @ all, depending on device.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
