Thread: Java 6 V 30 for 11.10

just got 11.10 , seems different used brings questions.

1. have found sights "prefer" sun java 6 v 30 , have iced tea versions come 11.10. suggestions on how change problems i'm having @ places pogo games locking up? (tried chromiuim , couldn't open anything.)

2. did @ of sun info , 1 of set ups calls getting root set java system wide. how set have root access?

other suggestions on getting works right?

towards end, add symbolic link java plugin, can create link in rest of firefox plugins in /user/lib/mozilla/plugins (or wherever firefox 9 needs them now)

not @ ubuntu machine right now, can't directory is. moved ff 9.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
