hi everyone,
started using ubuntu little on week ago , loved im using ubuntu server company work in.
5 days , looks has been going good. there 16 pcs , 1 ubuntu (desktop version) server.
there 1 particular drive made read/write/execute permission on lan.
reason there 1 pc seems act every , then. pc can read/write pc can read.. im not sure why pc keeps seeing permissions differently every , then. pc uses windows 7. there 2 other windows 7 , have no problem. there vista , xp computers , have no problem.
1 pc. please help!
also, windows 7 pc has problem , other windows 7 pc has no problem both use same anti-virus.
tried creating samba user windows pc has problem not solved. gets rights while , next day becomes read again (and happens folders in drive) im lost , confused.
lot support in advance.

need add other pcs seeing folder read only. check box in sharing properties, can read , write , after while reason maybe after day automatically goes read only.. please help!!!

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
