Attempting to create keyboard shortcut causes Audition to crash?!?

i've been running audition flawlessly quite time.  no issues speak of.

 

i decided create keyboard shortcut today.  instant crash.  screen shot 2013-05-06 @ 3.42.26 pm.png

 

 

i repeated process several times same result.  restarted.  re-installed audition.  updated build 5.0.2.  no change.

 

imac 10.8.3, adobe audition cs6 build 5.0.2

i suspect in order diagnose problem need know bit more keyboard shortcut trying make.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
