How To Intersect Shape Areas in CS6?

i'm using cs6 , can't figure how intersect shape areas. website i'm using saying use pathfinder panel can't seem find either. help?

pathfinder in illustrator , not in photoshop.

 

if shapes separate shape layers first target relevant layers , press cmd/ctrl+e merge them 1 intersections can found. in shape layer contains multiple paths, use path selection tool select paths. pick "intersect shape areas" in combining-mode popup menu near middle of options bar.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
