i read people have pcs @ work run android. interesting. isn't android based on ubuntu?

googling, see windows emulators run android under windows. going android marketplace on ubuntu , using android aps fun.

thoughts, experience on this?

me, obvious many braincells , time invested in other os'es, ignore accomplishments no winelike environments, not learning french, or being racist. there no argument deb way go, not available.

no. android uses modified linux kernel, apart has little in common ubuntu. don't think uses gnu components.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
