Thread: Dell xps 15 l502x headphone jack won't work

i can't seem headphone jack on xps work properly. have 2 jacks; normal headphone jack , 1 labeled s/p dif. 1 label works, can't control volume on it. i've been trying add different options /etc/modprobe.d/alsa.conf, nothing has worked yet.

edit: in sound settings changing output connector analog stereo solves problem, whenever plug headphones in changes connector.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
