Thread: Dropbox consuming half my CPU?

tonight installed dropbox. noticed machine lagging bit, , noticed dropbox sitting between 49 , 50% of cpu utilization.

owned root killed , restarted it. it's fine now, i'm not sure why happen.

background info:

installed dropbox tonight. @ first tried installing through gui (muon). hung on install reason, went install via command line. of course, locked , such, had delete lock install it. perhaps stayed running in background since then?

sorry rambling, wanted see if else encountered this.

was syncing?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
