Thread: Help with .MTS/ACVHD software
i've been struggling few days, figure i'll stop , ask in hopes of saving headache.
goal: use open source or freeware program save space trimming .mts video file, converting accessible format further editing, such .avi.
can't seem find program this. windows live movie maker works perfectly, save .wmv, need converted again before being usable in video editors.
have not found program in windows allow this, set partition ubuntu.
far have tried kdenlive, can't working (and uncertain if asking). "mlt's sdl module not found" error, , don't know it.
have read cinelerra not handle .mts files.
trying lives, seems save .ogv, , not handling sound properly. might mistake, ask before spending more time bashing head against table.
thank help!
edit: figured out how lives save other formats, sound still not working, , it's warning me not load in large file sizes... guess option figure out how kdenlive working?
figured out how kdenlive working. i'll write here in case else finds in search. seems common problem.
kdenlive, must add beta repository software sources, reinstall.
http:/ppa.launchpad.net/sunab/kdenlive-svn/ubuntu
once this, you'll hit error after starting kdenlive. have update mlt library manually:
sudo apt-get update libmlt3++
that's that, i'm not sure how handles .mts files yet. seems awfully complex, i'll play around night.
