Thread: How to stop clamav?

hi, virtual machine ubuntu have 64mb ram, try install clamav (clamav-daemon clamav-freshclam) scan virus mail service can't operate (lag), want stop other things, know how ... ?

im guessing there stop start in init.d

if you

code:
sudo /etc/init.d/clamav-daemon stop
then


code:
sudo /etc/init.d/clamav-daemon status
to ensure stopped,
same other one.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
