Thread: no desktop settings with right click (or else) . . .

i'm running lubuntu 11.10 on netbook. when i'm right clicking on desktop in menu there no desktop setting (and, there missing comparing powermac i've running lxde under wheezy, pcmanfm option).

when i'm running in terminal 'pcmanfm -desktop-pref' desktop settings appear.

prefs/confs should change have desktop settings (and, if possible, pcmanfm) right click on desktop?

ok, answering myself:

went to:

/etc/xdg/openbox/menu.xml
and added (as root) following lines:

<item label="desktop settings">     <action name="execute"><execute>pcmanfm --desktop-pref</execute></action> </item>
all fine now. don't remember, changed settings ever. so, guess, missing desktop settings it's lubuntu default (?)

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
