in spirit of kiwinz's discerning december screenshots thread screenshots distros other ubuntu. suggest adding following details:

  1. distro: specify distro , version
  2. environment: name window manager and/or desktop environment
  3. wallpaper: give link wallpaper being used
  4. applications: name applications displayed


suggest, kiwinz has done, keep screenshots 800 x 600 reduced bandwidth not suffer. , please keep clean .

i prefer keep minimal!.

  1. distro: slackware -current
  2. environment: fluxbox 1.3.2
  3. wallpaper: mushrooms
  4. applications: not many: wicd running...

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
