possible display text in tray? gtk::statusicon text? i'm starting write calendar/clock/alarm/reminder app using c++ , gtkmm, , display actuall date , time tray , when user click on calendar pop , user abble planning

gnome clock in tray. (from there i'm assuming possible display text in tray )

know how it?

i have figured out using pango , cairo

i'm having problem statusicon itself. want rectangle dynamically changed width.

know how that?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
