Installed FrameMaker 11 and Acrobat Pro has disappeared

hi

i use framemaker 7.2 acrobat professional version 7 every working day.

 

i downloaded , installed 30-day version of framemaker 11. , having done so,

 

  • all traces of acrobat professional v.7 have disappeared.
  • my custom distiller job options have disappeared.
  • when go using framemaker 7.2 , make pdf, distiller no longer gets started framemaker.
  • the pdf created framemaker 7.2 freezes adobe reader 10.

 

nowhere in framemaker 11 installation/sales blurb did see caveat installing on machine existing framemaker version, acrobat professional  etc.

 

considering company thinking of investing heavily in framemaker 11 licenses, bad start!

 

i interested in hearing has had similar problems.

sorry didn’t catch – best practices dictates installing on non-production machines precisely reason outline. main issue acrobat doesn’t play multiple versions on same machine. standalone version of fm installs “headless” version of acrobat pro. you’re going have uninstall traces of acrobat machine (distiller & reader) , reinstall version 7.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
