My edited video/audio is blank!

i've recorded audio , video computer (a video game) 1 file, , had file in premiere elements 9, edited , ready rendered, when moved source file new folder. remembering moving files prevent pe working, moved file originally, going work, video , audio both blank! doesn't have "media unavailable" thing, it's blackness on preview screen , silence! both video , audio they're still there in timeline, edited they're supposed be, preview screen black , no sound plays. made sure begin with, , got file pe again "get media" option, keeps giving me wrong file!  clicked on both file want, , wrong 1 keeps giving me, , both give me wrong one. opened correct file outside of pe, , works fine! it's right 1 , everything. tried going auto-save files, way before did editing. tried closing program , opening again. don't want take several hours edit again! there way of getting them back?

 

i've been working program , these files months , i've never had problem before.   hate losing hard work.

have used program's replace footage try file in opened project? right click wrong file in project media , select replace footage, followed going know correct footage is. have tried that?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
