Thread: 50mounted-tests causes loading of kernel modules

i noticed morning following kernel filesystem modules seemed have loaded on weekend;
xfs
jfs
qnx4
btrfs

seems caused cron job calls shell script;
/usr/lib/os-probes/50mounted-tests

can tell me purpose of script , how disable please?

it's part of grub2/os-prober package. search os-prober here:

looks can turned off in /etc/defaults/grub

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
