Thread: Backup to network drive

hi

use notebook ubuntu installed on it.

have "server" computer, computer not used, hard drive suitable backup via network.

want "manually" backup once month executing script.

have searched through forum (and www in general), , found many solutions.

recommend me do?

have approx. 40 gb of data want - because of think rsync, or other tools, backing changed files preferred.

recommend?

yes, rsync solution easy use , or script.

hit rsync man page details on flags update changes files

make sure write access have drive.. thats usualy biggest hicups come in.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
